Oswego Drug Dealer Gets Nearly 7 Years in Prison for Selling Cocaine: State's Attorney

A 47-year-old Oswego man has been sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for delivering cocaine.

Jose G. Guerra was selling cocaine to people working undercover, according to Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis. Based upon those sales of cocaine, a search warrant was executed on Guerra’s residence in March. Due to evidence collected on scene, Guerra was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

“Hopefully seeing drug dealers consistently going to prison from Kendall County will dissuade the small percentage of individuals who choose to make their living by illegal means,” Weis said in a news release.
