Oswego Electronics Recycling Vendor Not Accepting Tube-Style TVs

Residents needing to recycle these types of televisions may contact New Life Recycling for an home pickup for a fee of $35 paid to New Life.

The Village’s Electronics Recycling vendor, New Life Electronics Recycling LLC, is not currently accepting CRT (tube-style) televisions during the Village’s regular electronics recycling events. Residents needing to recycle these types of televisions may contact New Life Recycling for an home pickup for a fee of $35 paid to New Life. The Village will notify residents when these types of televisions are again accepted.

As a reminder, electronics may not be put out with refuse and must be recycled in accordance with state law.

For a complete list of items that must be recycled, visit the Illinois EPA website Electronics Recycling Page (http://www.epa.illinois.gov/topics/waste-management/electronics-recycling/index). Residents may have options to recycle through the manufacturer voluntary take-back program. More information about this program is available on through the IEPA’s website.

The Village’s Electronics Recycling takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Village’s Public Works facility at 100 Theordore Drive. The next event is Saturday, August 8, 2015.
