Oswego Firefighters Save Three After Raft Deflates On Fox River

All three victims were wearing life jackets and no injuries have been reported.

OSWEGO, IL — Firefighters rescued three people from the Fox River Sunday, May 3, according to a press release from the Oswego Fire Protection District.

Crews were dispatched at 3:07 p.m. to the 5100 block of Route 34 in Oswego, where firefighters deployed a boat and managed to pull all three victims safely out of the water.

According to the release, It was determined that all three victims were in a raft when it deflated. They were wearing life jackets, and were able to cling to a tree branch until being removed from the river.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Personnel from the Aurora Township and Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection Districts provided coverage at Oswego Fire Protection District stations during the incident.
