Oswego High Schools Prepare For Crosstown Football Game This Week
Ahead of the annual match between Oswego and Oswego East high schools, police share details about parking, restricted routes and traffic.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego High School and Oswego East High School are gearing up for their annual Crosstown football game Friday.
This year's game marks the 18th annual event of its kind for Oswego School District 308. The match will take place at Oswego East, 1525 Harvey Road.
Ahead of the game, police provided information about at traffic patterns and parking for the evening. Restrictions include the following:

- Fans exiting the east lot of OEHS and parking lot will only be allowed to travel south on Harvey Road.
- Fans exiting the grass field near the school bus exit, will only be allowed to travel north on Harvey Road.
- Fans exiting the west lot of OEHS will only be allowed to travel west on Wolf's Crossing.
In an effort to reduce congestion, fans are encouraged to carpool to the event or use provided shuttle buses. Those who drive to the game should anticipate longer wait times for lots to clear, police said.
Police and community service officers will be stationed at heavily used intersections to help with traffic control.

Parking for the event will be available in Oswego East High School's paved parking lots, and entrance will only be permitted from Wolf Road. An expanded accessible parking lot will be available at Oswego East.
District 308 will be providing bus transportation to and from remote parking lots at Oswego High School and Plank Junior High School beginning at 4:15 p.m. Drop-off will be near Oswego East's junior varsity soccer field.
