Oswego to Host Comprehensive Plan Open House

Residents can also submit feedback via an online survey.

From the Village of Oswego:

The Village of Oswego has initiated the process of updating the current Comprehensive Plan to create a unified plan that can strengthen Oswego’s position in the post-recession economy in the region.

The second public open house for the plan is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 28, 2015, in the lobby of Village Hall. The event is an opportunity for all to come and help shape the vision and plan for the future of Oswego. This is a critical first step in the development of the plan; it is an opportunity for the residents of Oswego to imagine and begin to think about a right fit for the community and bring new ideas for a clearly articulated vision.

The plan will be used to guide the village in evaluating future developments opportunities. A major goal of the plan is to develop bold and economically viable concepts for downtown, the riverfront, and other key sites that can serve the community and also attract visitors.

The planning effort is being led by Ginkgo Planning & Design, Inc., with SB Friedman, KLOA and Hitchcock Design Group as part of the multidisciplinary consultant team.
