Oswego HS Lockdown Over After Police Respond To Weapon Reports
Police and school district are investigating as students, teachers resume with their daily schedule.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego High School was placed on lockdown Thursday morning by law enforcement after reports of a student having a weapon, the high school said. According to school officials, the lockdown began at 8:31 a.m. and ended at 8:38 a.m. The school said law enforcement secured the weapon, which was a plastic airsoft gun located inside a backpack in a locker, and determined it wasn't a threat to students' safety.
Students are back to their normal daily schedule and the Oswego Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident in cooperation with SD308 Administration.
