Oswego Man Dies in Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash
The 20-year-old man was pronounced dead Aug. 4.

A 20-year-old Oswego man has died after a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Batavia Aug. 4.
Justin Retherford-Speer was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., according to the Kane County Coroner's Office. An autopsy performed Aug. 5 showed the preliminary cause of death was due to multiple injuries sustained in the crash.
A final cause of death is pending toxicology reports.

The crash occurred at 8:21 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and Randall Road in Batavia when a vehicle collided with a motorcycle. Retherford-Speer was taken to Delnor Hospital and was
later pronounced dead, according to a Batavia Fire Department press release.
Two people who were in the other vehicle were not injured.
