Oswego Man Killed in Wisconsin Boating Accident
The 54-year-old man died after the boat he was on crashed into a large rock.
A 54-year-old Oswego man was killed Friday in Wisconsin after a boat he was on crashed into a large rock on the shore.
According to the Door County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to the area of Door Bluff Rd. in Liberty Grove at around 11:49 p.m. for a report of a 23-foot Powerquest boat that had crashed.
The owner of the boat, identified as 54-year-old Vernon J. Rubenic of Oswego by the Door County Medical Examiner's Office, was killed and a 40-year-old man from Washington Island was seriously injured.
