Oswego Man Stabbed Plainfield Resident Multiple Times with Knife: Police

Police say his wounds were not life-threatening.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A 52-year-old Oswego man has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after he allegedly stabbed a 47-year-old Plainfield man multiple times with a knife.

Plainfield police say at around 5:52 a.m. Sept. 7 they responded to the Enclave at 127th apartment complex in the 23800 block of Springs Court for a domestic disturbance. While on their way, officers were notified that a person involved had been stabbed with a knife and that the offender was trying to leave in a vehicle.

When police arrived they found Veldrin L. Johnson, of the 700 block of Blossom Ct. in Oswego, in a vehicle near the front of the complex and took him into custody without incident, according to the Plainfield Police Department.

Police found the Plainfield man and secured the area as the Plainfield Fire Protection District arrived and began medical treatment. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for multiple stab wounds that were not life-threatening.
