Oswego PD To Enforce DUI, Seat Belt Use In Labor Day Campaign
Police will target distracted driving, driving under the influence and seat belt usage during the two-week-long campaign.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police will begin an enforcement campaign Friday in light of the upcoming Labor Day holiday, officials announced Thursday.
During the campaign set to run through the early hours of Sept. 5, officers will target seat belt usage and driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Officials said they will also place extra emphasis on speeding and distracted driving, warning drivers to "be aware."
Police are asking locals to plan ahead for designated drivers if they'll be drinking or using other impairing substances over the holiday weekend.
