Oswego Police Arrest 48 Teens, Woman After Alleged Underage Drinking Party

Woman accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after police respond to loud party on Georgetown Circle.

Forty-five juveniles and three adults were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol, and an Oswego woman is accused of contributing to the delinquency of minors after police broke up a large party in the 800 block of Georgetown Circle early Sunday.

At 12:39 a.m., police responded to a report of a large party at a Georgetown Circle home. Officers who arrived found a “large number of teens at the residence” and made “numerous” arrests, police said.

Police said 45 juveniles, both male and female, were arrested and charged with underage consumption of alcohol, along with three adults who were arrested on charges of unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol: 18-year-olds Zachary Prinz and Ryan Egan of Aurora and Kent Lequire of Oswego. All 48 are due are due in court Nov. 25.

A woman, 35-year-old Gesenia Cobb, of the 800 block of Georgetown, was also arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said. According to a police report, Cobb was booked and released on her own recognizance on Sunday. She is also due in court Nov. 25.

All of the teens who were arrested were processed and released to their parents, while the adults were released on bond, police said.

According to police, the incident remains under investigation.

“The Oswego Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety of our community and considers underage drinking a serious matter,” police said in a press release.
