Oswego Police to Crackdown on Seat Belt Violators Over Halloween Weekend

If you're not wearing a seat belt, you might be in for a scare from the police.

OSWEGO, IL — Planning on driving your kid around to go trick-or-treating? You might be in for a scare if you’re not wearing your seat belt.

This Halloween, the Oswego Police Department is cracking down on unbuckled vehicle occupants by participating in the statewide Click It or Ticket It enforcement campaign.

Officers will be working extra night and daytime hours during the entire Halloween weekend. Illinois law requires all vehicle occupants, regardless of age or position in the vehicle, to wear a properly adjusted and fastened seat belt.
