Oswego Police Department to Hold Junior Police Academy

The academy is offered free of charge to all current District 308 junior high school students.

Interested in becoming a police officer? The Oswego Police Department will once again be holding its Junior Police Academy.

The Junior Police Academy is offered free of charge to all current District 308 Junior High School students. Junior Cadets will learn about conducting traffic stops, crime scene investigation, building searches and more.

The department will be holding two sessions: June 27-July 1 and July 18-22. Both sessions begin at 8 a.m. and run until noon.

Applications are now available in the lobby of the Oswego Law Enforcement Center. Application forms will also be available to download at oswegopoliceil.org starting later this week. Turn in your application as soon as possible as space is limited. They are due by June 6.
