Oswego Police Give More Than 50 Citations During Labor Day Crackdown
Included in that were plenty of cell phone violation citations.

OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department gave more than 50 citations during its Labor Day “Click It or Ticket” crackdown.
A total of 56 seat belt citations were given, 18 of which occurred during the night. Police also gave out 26 cell phone tickets and three uninsured motorist citations. One citation was given for violation of a child restraint law, according to the Oswego Police Department.
The crackdown, which ran from August 22 through September 5, was part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns, was made possible by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
