Oswego Police Host National Night Out

Family fun is in store at Prairie Point Park.

OSWEGO, IL — Neighborhoods throughout the Village of Oswego are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across approximately 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide for National Night Out. Oswego's event is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Prairie Point Park.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Neighbors throughout Oswego and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement. Hosted by the Oswegoland Park District, the community is invited to an evening that includes frolicking at the Prairie Point Park Splash Pad, 4120 Plainfield Road.
