Oswego Police Reports: Traffic Collisions, Scams, Theft

Here's a list of some of the calls the Oswego Police Department responded to on Monday.

OSWEGO, IL - Here's a brief look at some of the calls that the Oswego Police Department responded to on Monday, Veterans Day.

Any possible charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

  • Just before 6 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Rt. 34. Police say the snow storm was a contributing factor in the accident. One of the drivers was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center to be checked for possible injuries.
  • Shortly before 2 p.m., police responded to the 500-block of Springbrook Trail in reference to stolen property. According to officers, "someone possibly scammed the victim out of $10,000."
  • A little after 3 p.m., someone walked into a business on Heritage Drive and committed retail theft, stealing $1,199.90. Police have not identified any suspects.
  • At 8:00 a.m., Oswego officers took a crash report at 4250 Route 71 involving a 17-year-old who crashed into a parked vehicle.
  • Just before 7 a.m., Osweego police say several vehicles were involved in a chain reaction collision near Devoe and Wolf. Three teens and one adult, a 45-year-old, were involved in the accident. Fortunately, police say there were no injuries.
