The heightened police presence at the church is not cause for concern, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — If you notice an increased police presence at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego on Thursday, there is no cause for concern, officials said.

The Oswego Police Department is conducting training exercises at the church on Boulder Hill Pass. Throughout the day, passersby may see more personnel or police vehicles in the area.

"Huge thanks to St. Anne Catholic Church for allowing us to train in their space and supporting this training opportunity," officials said in an alert on Facebook.
