Oswego Robotics FTC Team invited to World Championship

Oswego Robotics FIRST Tech Challenge Team Mach Speed 10266, has been invited to World Champatition in Detroit MI April 24-28th.

Mach Speed started the season strong in the Southwest Suburban league.
Competition season consisted of 3 league meets, a Qualifying league Championship where Mach Speed dominated the competition and won the event as Winning Alliance Team Captition. They also won the Design award for the robots creative design which included using multiple 3D printed parts, 2nd place in controls award for robot programming, 2nd place in Rockwell Collins Award and 3rd place Inspire Award. These impressive wins, for a team only being 3 years old, qualified them for State Competition in Elgin IL. Going into state competition Mach Speed was ranked 3rd in the State.

At State competition Mach Speed was on the Solomon Division with the other top scoring teams in the leagues. Mach Speed again competed strong and consistent, with one of the few robots able to place two relic game pieces standing up at the end game. They also achieved the Highest score of 589 for the event. The team then made it into the semi finals and was beaten by the top winning event team.
Mach Speed placed 9th in their division and had a great season. On March 9th the team received an invitation to the World Competition in a Wild card spot.

We are excited to have the opportunity to compete again, we are also grateful to our Parents, Sponsors, Coach, Mentors and School district (SD308) for the support they have given us this season.
Now that we are going to World we could use some help with expenses such as hotels,food and extra robot upgrades.
