Oswego School Hosts Lego League Raffle

Old Post Elementary School is hosting a raffle to benefit its First Lego League (FLL).

Community members are invited to enter a drawing for a gift basket containing $350 worth of goods and services from Oswego businesses. That includes:

• A bowling party for 10 at Parkside Lanes
• A Danelli’s pizza
• A $50 gift certificate to Privato Salon
• Bounce Town passes
• Fox River Academy gifts

Tickets, which are $2 each or six for $10, are available online until Monday, Dec. 15. Click here to purchase tickets.

Proceeds from the raffle will allow the First Lego League to purchase robotic kits.

Old Post currently has two First Lego League teams made up of 10 students each in fourth and fifth grades.

“In (FLL), children are immersed in real-world science and technology challenges,” according to the website. “Teams design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO robots that perform a series of missions. Through their participation, children develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society.”
