Oswego Sees 9 Percent Population Increase

OSWEGO, IL — Do you think it’s gotten a bit more crowded in Oswego? If so, there’s a reason.

The population of the village has increased 9 percent, raising the number of residents to 33,078, according to a report from WSPY News.

The rise in residents was noted during a special census conducted last spring.

The increase in people will mean an approximate annual increase of $413,000 in state shared revenue, according to the report.
