Join other seniors at the Oswego Senior Center located at 156 E. Washington St., for this worth-while activity to hand tie fleece blankets for critically ill children. Join us anytime the first Tuesday of each month.

Heart & Bones Fitness Class

Participants may join this engaging, fun fitness class any time for cardio, resistance and strength training. Balance, coordination, flexibility, agility and energy may be improved! All exercises can be modified to accommodate injuries or specific needs. Wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes. Join us any day at Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington St: Monday 9am, and a second class on Monday 10am, Tuesday 10am, Wednesday 10am, Thursday 10:45am and Friday 11:15am. Paramount Theatre Day Trip

“The Secret of My Success” & Lunch

Wednesday, March 18, 11:15am –4pm

This World Premiere Musical follows an ambitious Midwesterner trying to make it in the big city, secrets and all. Is success money? A powerful job? A happy marriage? Join the Oswego Senior Center Day Travelers for the World Premiere of The Secret of My Success, a hilarious, heartfelt new musical based on the 1987 Michael J. Fox movie. A delicious buffet lunch will be served at noon at the Meyer Ballroom, (directly across the street from the Paramount), followed by the play at 1:30pm. $70 per person includes transportation, lunch and theater tickets. Flower & Garden Show at Navy Pier

Friday, March 20, 9am - 3pm

Spend the day enjoying the Flower & Garden Show with the Oswego Senior Center Day travelers and pick up great ideas for your own gardens & lawns! $25 per person includes ticket to the Garden Show and Transportation. Travel Tour Slide Presentation

Woodwork Shop

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11:00am

Oswego Senior Center, located at 156 E. Washington St., woodshop is a do-it-yourself workshop which offers seniors age 60+ access to a variety of woodworking tools and equipment. Whether you're new to woodworking, don't have the space or equipment at home, or would like to create or finish a home project, our patient and talented volunteer coordinator, Dan McCluskey, and fellow wood shoppers are here to help you. The woodshop is generally open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00am-3:00pm, but if wood shop users are going to arrive after 1pm please call ahead to make sure a woodshop volunteer will be available. MEMORY CAFÉ

March 4, 9:30 – 11:00

A Memory Café is a place where caregiver and care recipient (age 60 or more) can come together to socialize and connect with others in similar situations. Oswego Senior Center Memory Café, located at 156 E. Washington St, will be open 9:30 – 11am the first Wednesday of each month March through June.

The Memory Café is not a Respite Care program but focuses on socializing with a caregiver in an environment outside the home. March 4th activities will include reminiscing, games, puzzles and arm chair travels. OSWEGO SENIOR CENTER CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM

The Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington, offers congregate lunch to seniors (age 60 plus) Monday, Wednesday and Thursday each week at noon. Reservations are required by 10am the business day prior to lunch. Suggested $5 donation.

MONDAY, MARCH 2: Beef Stroganoff w/Egg Noodles, Chopped Salad w/Legumes, Rolls and Oatmeal Cookies

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4: Sausage and Chicken Gumbo W/Rice, Cornbread and Lemon Cake

THURSDAY, MARCH 5: Baked BBQ Chicken Leg Quarters, Steamed Broccoli, Baked Beans, Whole Wheat Rolls and Red Velvet Cake
