Oswego student to perform as Jasmine in the upcoming performance of Aladdin Jr.!

Oswego's own Lucy Hauser to perform as Jasmine in the upcoming Spotlight Youth Theater's production of Disney's Aladdin Jr.!

Lucy Hauser is no stranger to the Spotlight. She has performed with a few theater companies including Summerstage, Acting Out, and Spotlight Youth Theater- Aurora in over 35 different productions in her lifetime. This young lady is a class act both on and off stage. She has performed in favorites like “Annie”, “Suessical The Musical”, “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Beauty and The Beast”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Jungle Book”, “Godspell”, “Les Miserables”, and many, many more.

She began her acting career in 2007 when she was cast as Molly for “Annie”. Many shows later and a few years older, she was cast as Annie for the Spotlight Aurora production of “Annie” in 2010. A year earlier she had been cast as Jasmine for a production of “Aladdin”, and now, five years later, she has been cast again for the Spotlight Aurora production of “Aladdin Jr.!”

Being a part of a production means so much more to Lucy then just taking on a role. She is always trying to learn more, always trying to befriend someone who may need a friend, and always trying to make the most of whatever role she is given, big or small. She is seen as a wonderful role model by young and old alike.

As for her future, Lucy is planning on majoring in Vocal Performance as she looks to study at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais this next Fall season.

Please join us for this amazing production of Aladdin, where a princess discovers a whole new world on a flying carpet, a street rat discovers that being himself is better than trying to be someone else, and a Genie discovers the true meaning of friendship.
