Oswego student to perform as 'Prof. Harold Hill' in The Music Man Jr.

River City is in "Trouble" and Harold Hill is just the man to help them out of it. A smooth talking salesman full of charm and charisma, is played by Alec Ludacka, 15, from Oswego. Come on out and join us as we watch Harold Hill weave his magic over River City attempting to sell them instruments and uniforms to start a Boys Band, while secretly planning to take the money and run. But there is one little setback, Marian the Librarian. Will Harold risk it all in order to win her heart?

An affectionate tribute to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's The Music Man, Jr follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.
