Oswego Student in Spelling Bee Won't Move Forward
Aditya Nadkarni spelled correctly in round 3 but didn't score high enough to move to the semifinals.

While he was able to make it to round three at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, Bednarcik Junior High School eighth-grader Aditya Nadkarni wasn’t able to gather a score high enough to be entered into the semifinals.
The minimum score needed to advance to the semifinals is 29. In addition to spelling, contestants are also asked to do a vocabulary test.

Nadkarni had correctly spelled “azure” and “verisimilitude” during the second and third round, respectively.
Nadkarni was speller No. 66 and keeps up his mental agility by solving Rubik’s Cubes, according to his Scripps Spelling Bee profile. He also likes to play video games and sports.
