Oswego Students Finish Strong in Math Competition
More than 21,000 students representing 602 schools across the country took part in this fall's contest.

OSWEGO, IL — There were 23 students from Prairie Point Elementary School who competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest on Nov. 13.
Students who participated were Brooke Abel, Noah Bush, Drew DiMonte, Adam Eloe, Jacqueline Engdahl, Eleanor Engel, Connor Franke, Nick Gates, Luke Giles, Jack Hawkins, Will Kelly, Angelina Morgano, Samuel Mundsinger, Brady Norwood, Jessica Paustenbach, Ella Schrader, Victoria Segarra, Stephanie Sendra, Tyler Stack, Emily Thomas, Troy Vosburgh, Madisen Waite, and Katie Woolley.
The Noetic Learning Math Contest is a national mathematics contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students’ interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. More than 21,000 students representing 602 schools across the country took part in this fall’s contest.

Ella Schrader and Troy Vosburgh won the National Honor Roll title. This title is awarded to approximately the top 10 percent of participating mathletes.
The following students received National Honorable Mention. This title is awarded to approximately the top 50 percent of participating mathletes: Brooke Abel, Drew DiMonte, Adam Eloe, Jacqueline Engdahl, Eleanor Engel, Connor Franke, Nick Gates, Luke Giles, Jack Hawkins, Will Kelly, Sam Mundsinger, Brady Norwood, Victoria Segarra, Stephanie Sendra, Tyler Stack, Emily Thomas, Madisen Waite, and Katie Woolley.
