Oswego Students Rep Robotics At State Conference
These kids were one of three groups there helping to boost awareness about FIRST, a program set on getting kids interested in robotics.

SPRINGFIELD, IL — School District 308 students with the Oswego Robotics program got a chance to show their stuff on Monday at the Illinois Principals Association Fall Conference in Springfield. The Oswego students were one of three groups representing STEM at the event.
A release from the school district says the kids got a chance to talk to Tony Smith, the Illinois State Superintendent of Educations, about expanding the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics program across the state.
"Superintendent Smith was very interested in hearing about how robotics in SD 308 has helped develop engineering skills, project management, presentation skills, and teamwork," the release says.
