Oswego Students Win JV Hockey State Championship

OSWEGO, IL — Local Warriors Hockey Club Junior Varsity (JV) Team recently won the Chicago Blackhawks Illinois State Combined High School Championship, according to a press release from Oswego School District 308.
On Thursday, March 17, the Warriors became state champions with a final score of 2-1. Oswego East High School student Jeremy Pietrarosso scored the team’s first goal during the game, the release said.
Players from Community Unit School District 308 include Kai Hallam, Jeremy Pietrarosso and Nick Podlesak from Oswego East and Gary Stanley, Ethan Torres and Ben Zarembski from Oswego High School.

The Warriors Hockey Club is a combined team with players from the following high schools: Oswego, Oswego East, Waubonsie Valley and Metea Valley.
