Oswego Teen to Perform Off-Broadway
Audrey Mikelson, 17, was chosen for the prestigious National Theater for Student Artists summer program

Audrey Mikelson, senior at Oswego High School, was selected to perform off-Broadway in The Dolls of New Albion, A Steampunk Opera by Paul Shapera. It will be staged at the Theatre at St Peters in New York City this July.
Each year, the National Theater for Student Artists hosts a select number of teenagers in three weeks of extensive, Broadway-intensive training, which culminates in a production at a New York theater. Participants are coached in auditioning, singing, and acting, and are given a true-to-life experience of the rigorous rehearsals of Broadway performers.
Audrey was one of just 40 students chosen from a group of over 650 nationwide. She has performed in school productions, community theater, and semi-professional theater. Her past roles include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Wednesday in The Addams Family Musical, Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Grace Farrell in Annie. She is planning to major in musical theater in college, and looks forward to the training and opportunities that this NTSA experience will provide.
