Oswego Trustee Candidate to be Presented at Oct. 6 Board Meeting
Luis Perez has resided in Oswego for 16 years and has a wife and two daughters.

Village President Gail Johnson will present Mr. Luis Perez to the Village Board as the candidate to fill the vacated seat of Trustee Scott Volpe on the Oswego Village Board. Volpe resigned from the board earlier this month due to a job relocation. President Johnson will present Mr. Perez’s appointment at the Oct. 6 meeting.
Volpe served on the board since 2009. “I wish Scott and his family all the best,” said Johnson, “I know Trustee Volpe enjoyed serving this community and I hope he is able to get involved in his new home.”
Mr. Perez has been a resident of Oswego for 16 years. He and his wife Kathy have raised two daughters here and have taken an active role in community activities during their tenure here.

“Luis brings a business development background to the current board that is a much needed perspective as we cultivate our downtown and perimeter retail corridors throughout the Village,” President Johnson commented about Mr. Perez’s appointment. “There is an energy about Luis that is contagious, and his love for this community is obvious on your first encounter with him.”
Mr. Perez is currently employed by Ace Hardware Corporation as a national channel manager for new business.
