Oswego Woman Attacked Outside Home

An Oswego woman was attacked in an attempted robbery Wednesday night and police are asking for the public’s help in locating the perpetrator, according to a release from the Oswego Police Department.

At around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, police responded to the 200 block of Willington Way for a report of an attempted robbery.

A man reportedly pushed down a woman outside her vehicle in her driveway and demanded her purse. She did not have a purse on her and the man fled on foot after a vehicle drove by. The man was last seen heading southbound on Southbury Boulevard. The woman sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The man was described as being white, less than 30 years old, 5’10’’ and with a skinny build. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

A Kendall County Sheriff canine assisted in searching for the man, but he was unable to be located.
