Oswego Woman Charged With 1st-Degree Murder In February Shooting: PD

The charges were issued about two months after an Oswego woman, 25, was found lying in a driveway dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

OSWEGO, IL — A 26-year-old Oswego woman is facing first-degree murder charges related to a February homicide, according to investigators at Illinois State Police and the Oswego Police Department.

Alexis Telles, of the 100 block of Presidential Boulevard, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, documents show.

Her bail is set for $3.04 million, with 10 percent to apply for bond. She is currently being held at the Kendall County jail.

Just before 7 a.m. Feb. 18, Oswego police responded to the 100 block of Presidential Boulevard, where they found a woman lying in a driveway dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Patch reported at the time that police were told the woman, identified as 25-year-old Annissa Ellen-Williams, shot herself while driving on a highway before Telles took control of the car and drove it to their house in Oswego. In an update, officials said the manner of death was ruled a homicide.

During an investigation after the shooting, police said Telles battered two officers while at the Oswego Police Department, Patch reported.

Telles' next court date is set for May 2.

While the investigation remains open, officials are asking anyone with information about the case to contact ISP agents at 815-726-6377.
