Oswego's Annual Christmas Walk Begins Dec. 2

And don't forget to eat breakfast with Santa on Dec. 3.

OSWEGO, IL — With Thanksgiving behind us, that Christmas spirit is in the air and in the aisles at Walmart.

Oswego’s annual Christmas Walk will be held over Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 2

The night will begin with Toyland Train rides, the Sledding Hill (giant slide), ice skating rink, ice carving demonstrations, strolling carolers and characters, holiday music, kids crafts and games, delicious food vendors and shopping opportunities, according to the Village of Oswego. At 7 p.m., the Silent, Illuminated Fire Truck parade will make its way down Main Street. Fire trucks from Oswego and other local fire departments will participate in this annual event.

Also, make sure to visit Santa from 5:30 to 8 p.m. And bring your cameras, too.

The party will continue Dec. 3 with a pancake breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The annual Holiday Cookie Walk will take place in downtown Oswego from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Purchase your holiday tin and then visit all of the participating merchants for a homemade holiday cookie
