OSWEGO, IL — A 67-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after he was hit while crossing Main Street as the second Oswego Country Market of the season operated nearby, police said.
A car was turning left from Main Street onto westbound Washington Street when the driver struck the pedestrian as he was traversing the crosswalk, spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch. The crash happened just after noon.
A large crowed gathered to help the man, who was lying in the street, as an ambulance was en route, a bystander told Patch. The man's injuries were not life-threatening, Nevara said.
