Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit by Car

18-year-old female was distracted when she walked into traffic.

At around 10:55 a.m. Monday, Oswego police officers received a report of a pedestrian hit by a car.

According to a press release from the Oswego Police Department, an 18-year-old female had walked into traffic while distracted.

The driver, a 62-year-old female, was traveling westbound on Wolfs Crossing Road and attempted to avoid the pedestrian but couldn’t. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver and her passenger were not injured.

No tickets were issued to the driver. The pedestrian was ticketed for failure to yield.

Wolfs Crossing Road was closed between Harvey Road and Roth Road for approximately 25 minutes during the investigation.
