Driver Extricated From Car After Crash On Route 34: Oswego Fire Department
A Plainfield man was charged with an aggravated DUI after the early Tuesday morning crash that sent both cars into a ditch on Oswego roads.
OSWEGO, IL — Two cars sustained major damage after a crash near the intersection of Route 34 and Orchard Road around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Oswego Fire Department said. One car required extrication after the crash.
A 27-year-old Plainfield man was driving south on Orchard Road when he collided with a car driven by a 59-year-old Plano man that was going west on Route 34. Both cars ended up in a ditch, Oswego police said.
The two drivers were taken to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, one in stable condition and the second in critical condition, officials said. No additional injuries were reported to responders.

The younger man, Kevin R. Keinath, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control device, according to police.
Keinath was detained at the Kendall County jail.

The Oswego Police Department and Kendall County Sheriff's Office assisted the fire department on the scene.
