Person Scammed Out of $700: Oswego Blotter
Incidents occurred between Feb. 20 and Feb. 26.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Feb. 20
Two juveniles were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol. Another juvenile was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis.
Feb. 21
Police took a report of an identity theft at the Speedway gas station.
Hector Alcala, 22, of the 400 block of Prairieview Dr. in Oswego, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Feb. 22
Amanda Owens, 35, of the 2100 block of Walcott Rd. in Aurora, was charged with retail theft. She was also picked up on two failure to appear warrants out of DuPage County for possession of cannabis, possession of needle and possession of a controlled substance.
Feb. 23
A 17-year-old Aurora juvenile was charged with retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Feb. 24
Police are investigating a retail theft at Ulta.
Feb. 26
Police are investigating a scam in which the victim placed a vehicle for sale on the Internet and sent a moneygram to someone to cover what she thought was needed for insurance. The victim learned the transaction was fake. The moneygram was in the amount of $782.
