Plainfield Repeat Offender Charged In Oswego Business Burglary

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said charges against Plainfield man include unlawful possession of firearm ammunition.

OSWEGO, IL — Kendall County Sheriff's Office said a Plainfield man is in custody after deputies were called to a disturbance reported at an Oswego business in the 0-100 block of Wolf Road at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. The sheriff's office said an investigation found a burglary took place nearly 20 minutes prior.

According to the sheriff's office, 34-year-old Bryan M. Lawson, of the 25000 block of Vermette Road, Plainfield, was arrested and charged with burglary, disorderly conduct, assault, criminal damage to property and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, with assistance from Oswego Police Department.

He was booked at the sheriff's office and is being held at the Kendall County Public Safety Center, according to a sheriff's office report.

Patch asked about the assault charge and the sheriff's office said it is under investigation, but did not elaborate.

According to Patch reports, prior to the Kendall County arrest, Lawson has been arrested at least three times in 2018. These include his most recent arrest, an Oct. 7 arrest at an apartment in the 24000 block of Lockport Street on a charge of disorderly conduct, and an August arrest in Will County on charges of aggravated fleeing/21 mph over the speed limit.

He was also arrested and charged back in Jan. 2014 on charges of criminal damage to property, domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence after being arrested on a warrant, police said.
