Tuesday, June 19
Driving on drugs
Mariah Moreno, 20, of the 5500 block of Bluestem Court in Oswego, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after a traffic stop at 2:55 a.m. on Grove Road at Reservation Road in Oswego Township, Kendall County Sheriff's deputies said. Moreno was initially pulled over for weaving back and forth in the roadway and driving well below the speed limit, police said, and she was also charged with improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and violating her license restrictions by not wearing corrective lenses.

Endangering a child

Jorge Ortiz, 33, of Elgin, was charged with drunken driving and endangering the life of a child after a traffic stop at Orchard Road and Tuscany Road at 1:49 a.m., said. Ortiz was initially stopped for improper lane use, and police found his 4-year-old son in the car with him. Ortiz was also charged with improper lane use, police said.

Someone sprayed graffiti on a picnic table at Village Green Park on Washington Street sometime before 2:26 p.m., Oswego police said. Police emphasized that it was not gang graffiti.

Vandalism part two
Someone keyed a truck parked in the 200 block of Isleview Drive sometime before 11:38 a.m., Oswego police said.
Accident with injury
Barb Gravel, 63, of the 500 block of Lakeview Drive, was injured when her car left the road and struck a telephone pole at 3:45 p.m. on Plainfield Road at Wooley Road, Oswego police said. Gravel was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, and no further information was available.
Burglary
Someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Park Street sometime before 10 p.m. and stole about $1,000 worth of items, Oswego police said.
Friday, June 15
Hit and run part one
An unknown vehicle struck a cement utility pole in a parking lot on Station Drive at Mill Road sometime before 9 a.m., Oswego police said. No damage was caused to the pole, police said.
Hit and run part two
The driver of an unknown vehicle struck a “no parking” sign around 12:30 p.m. on Bonaventure Drive and then left the scene without reporting the damage, Oswego police said.
Purse snatcher
Someone took a purse from an unlocked car parked in a garage in the 600 block of Churchill Lane sometime before 3:09 p.m., Oswego police said.
Thursday, June 14
Lock your doors
Someone stole a cell phone and an unknown amount of change from an unlocked car parked in the 400 block of Greenview Lane around 6:15 a.m., Oswego police said.
Seriously, lock your doors
Someone took a GPS unit from an unlocked car parked in the 600 block of Manhattan Circle around 1:32 p.m., Oswego police said.
Eggs? What?
Someone threw eggs at a screen in the Prairie Point Skate Park at 313 E. Washington St. sometime before 7:45 a.m., causing about $20 in damage, Oswego police said.
Teens with alcohol
Louis Yarbrough, 19, of the 400 block of Manchester Drive in Oswego, and Zachary George, 19, of the 0-99 block of Windham Road in Montgomery, were charged with retail theft and possession of alcohol at the Walmart on Route 34 around 11:40 p.m., Oswego police said.
