Police Establish Designated Spot For Online Purchase Exchanges
In the parking lot at the Oswego Police Department, there are marked spots where people can meet to conduct their online transactions.

OSWEGO, IL — For residents who often make purchases on Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp, the Oswego Police Department has now set up a designated location in its parking lot for people to conduct online sales transactions.
The area, located at 3355 Woolley Road, is also under video surveillance.
"We encourage the public to take advantage of the purchase exchange location as one way to keep safe when buying and selling online," officials said in a bulletin item about the spots. "Please don't meet strangers at private residences or in areas that you are unfamiliar with."
