Police Investigating Hit-and-Run: Oswego Blotter

Incidents occurred between April 21 and May 4.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.


April 21

Police are investigating a criminal damage to property incident at Traughber Junior High.

April 30

Ernest E. Williams, 46, of Aurora, was charged with retail theft. The arrest occurred at Meijer, located at 2700 Rt. 34.

Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash at 100 Lakeshore Drive. Police say a silver vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle leaving paint transfer and damage to the vehicle. Police are asking anyone with information to call 630-551-7300.

Joni L. Kasparek, 53, of Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use. The incident occurred on Route 34 at Kendall Point.

May 1

Normal Valerio, 34, of Aurora, was charged with driving under the influence. The arrest occurred in the 1800 block of Route 30 at Wolf Road.

May 2

Police took a report of a burglary from a motor vehicle that occurred April 23. The victim said a cell phone was stolen.

Police took a report of stolen money.

Police are investigating a complaint of illegal dumping in a commercial dumpster.

May 3

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash where the driver fled the scene. The incident occurred at Rt. 30 and Lincoln Station Dr.

A business owner reported that someone broke several windows on a houseboat that was being stored at 88 Templeton.

May 4

A 17-year-old juvenile from Montgomery was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment. The arrest occurred at Chesterfield Park, located at 141 Chesterfield.
