Police Say Oswego Park Fire Was Deliberately Set
A small mulch fire broke out near a gazebo in Chesterfield Park.

OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police believe a small mulch fire that broke out near a gazebo in Chesterfield Park was deliberately set.
The fire broke out sometime between 3:45 and 4 p.m. May 6 at 141 Chesterfield Drive, police said. Evidence at the scene suggested that the fire was deliberate.

A local resident reported the fire. A picnic table, a nearby bush and a small amount of mulch received minor damage.
