School District 308 Ranks High Among Chicagoland Districts with Best Educators

Oswego, Ill. (Sept. 4, 2015) — A world-class education begins with stellar teachers, and School District 308’s are among the best in the region, according to Niche.com’s 2015 list of public school district’s with the best teachers.

Community Unit School District 308’s educators ranked in the top 50 on the list of 100 districts in the Chicago metropolitan area with the best teachers. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Matthew Wendt is pleased that the district is receiving regional and national attention for the quality of its educators.

“As we begin a new school year, there are so many positive things happening in School District 308,” said Wendt. “This list brings our district, in particular our educators, much deserved regional attention for their hard work. We are making great strides toward world-class in School District 308.”

School District 308 educators ranked 44th on the list of district’s in the Chicago suburbs with the best teachers. According to Niche, a high ranking indicates three things:

Students are very happy with the level of instruction they receive, and educational outcomes reflect the quality of instruction.

The district is invested in its teachers and provides a good level for teaching and learning.

Teachers are invested in the schools and students, and work to ensure the best outcomes for students.

The rankings are compiled and published by Niche, a nationwide organization focused on providing students, families, and professionals with best-in-class content and insight for making major life decisions. Niche provides rankings for 14,431 high schools nationwide, based on dozens of key statistics, while 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. Last January, School District 308 and Oswego East High School ranked among the best places in the state and Chicago metropolitan area to receive an education.
