Seasonal Composting

Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club invites the community to learn how to successfully compost on November 9.

Seasonal Composting will be Hilltop Gardeners November 9 topic. Due to a week-long veterans’ display at the club’s usual meeting place at the Little White School Museum, the program will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the downtown Oswego Public Library, second floor, 32 West Jefferson Street.

John Church of the Kendall County Conservation Foundation will provide information to help homeowners learn about the benefits of successfully composting at home and what organic materials are best suited. He will explain how to utilize grass clippings and seasonal leaves to create some of the best nutrients for mulch beds and lawns.

All are welcome to attend at no cost. Come for refreshments, meet new people and learn something new. For more information email vgierhart@aol.com or call Diane, 630-551-1970.
