Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant will be holding a town hall meeting to discuss legislative issues on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. The meeting will be held at the Romeoville Village Hall (1050 W Romeo Rd, Romeoville, IL 60446) from 6-7:30 p.m.
With the regular legislative session having come to a close, Senator Bertino-Tarrant is interested in meeting with residents to discuss the legislation that passed this year and find out what they would like to see happen next year.
“A lot of important pieces of legislation passed the General Assembly in recent months,” Senator Bertino-Tarrant said. “I want to give residents the opportunity to ask questions about these topics.”
Senator Bertino-Tarrant also hopes to shed some light on the state budget and the possibility of a tax increase in the coming session. She hopes that members of the community will be interested in weighing-in on these important issues.
“If members of the community are willing to take time out of their day to attend a town hall meeting, I want it to be as informative and worthwhile as possible,” Bertino-Tarrant continued.
The town hall meeting is open to the public. Senator Bertino-Tarrant encourages anyone with questions or concerns to come join her for a candid conversation about state and local government issues.
