Sergeant Retires From Oswego Police Department

OSWEGO, IL — After 26 years working in law enforcement, Sergeant Page Bond officially retired from the Oswego Police Department Tuesday.

Before joining the Oswego Police Department's patrol division in 1998, Bond worked with the Warrenville Police Department for two years. In 1999, she was assigned to be Oswego High School's school resource officer. She served in that role until 2003 when she returned to patrol.

In 2008, she was assigned to work as a detective before being promoted to sergeant a year later. She served as a patrol sergeant for more than a decade before becoming detective sergeant, overseeing the criminal investigation unit, in 2019.

By the end of her career, she came full circle, returning to the patrol division in January.

Throughout her time with the Oswego Police Department, Bond was a master evidence technician, arson investigator, ad hoc undercover officer, juvenile program coordinator, bike officer, gang officer and recruitment officer. She also spearheaded and was responsible for several programs, including the Sex Offender Registration, Apprehension Team and Crisis Intervention Team.

The sergeant received several awards throughout her career. Honors included a merit award, a first-responder award and an excellence in education award.

"Her absence will no doubt be felt not only by the police department but by the entire Village of Oswego," police officials said in a news release. "Thank you Sgt. Bond for providing a long career of dedicated service to law enforcement, the Village, and the community of Oswego."

Officials continued: "Congratulations on your well-earned retirement, we will miss you! We wish you and your family all the best in your future endeavors!"
