Seven Oswego Restaurants Compete for "Best Pizza" Title

Residents can sample the pies and cast their votes for the People's Choice Award.

“There’s always room for improvement — and pizza," according to the Oswego Junior Woman's Club.

The organization will host the Oswego's Best Pizza Competition from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Columbus Club of Oswego, 197 E. Washington St.

Here's who's competing:

  • Firehouse Pizza & Pub
  • Genoa Pizza
  • Noble Roman’s
  • Pizza Cucina
  • Shef Brothers Pizza
  • Tony Weeds Pizza
  • Windy City Pizza
The competition is open to the public, and residents are invited to come out and try a variety of pizza samples. The admission fee is $5 per person.

A panel of local celebrity judges will choose a winner in three categories – sausage, pepperoni and specialty. Additionally, the public will vote for their favorite pizza maker for the People’s Choice Award.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Oswego Junior Woman's Club and its charitable endeavors.

The Oswego Junior Woman’s Club is a not-for-profit organization that supports the Oswego and surrounding communities through volunteer services and financial generosity with a focus on women and children.
