Drunken driving

Derrick Burgess, 31, of the 400 block of Morton Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 12:12 a.m. on Route 31 at Light Road in Oswego Township, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Burgess was initially stopped for traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving and crossing a traffic line, police said, and was also charged with improper lane use and not carrying his driver’s license.

Hiding drug paraphernalia

Daniel Fitzpatrick III, 18, of the 100 block of Rickard Drive in Oswego, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a peace officer at his home at 12:39 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Police initially responded to a disturbance call and discovered that Fitzpatrick had damaged property at the home, and later tried to conceal the drug paraphernalia, police said.

Someone sideswiped a car at 10:26 p.m. on Route 34 at Rickard Drive and then left the scene, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The incident is under investigation, police said.

Someone poured a white powdery substance into the gas tank of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Oswego sometime before 11 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Thursday, June 21

You may have already won criminal charges

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating reports of repeated crank calls to an Oswego residence between June 20 and June 21. The caller states that the person who picks up the phone has won $3.5 million, and then becomes irate and threatens bodily harm when the offer is declined, police said.

Big generator

Someone stole a generator from a storage locker in the 2100 block of Light Road in Oswego sometime before 11:10 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.
