Should the Republicans let the democrats take down Chris Christie

If Chris Christie had been a democrat instead of a republican,would the democrats let the republicans destroy Chris Chris Christie as they are attempting to do now. We have plenty of  examples of how the democrats got behind their party members and wouldn’t let the republicans take them down.
Bill Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, “Sandy” Berger… former…. United States National Security Advisor, under President Bill Clinton,” “Sandy Berger illegally took confidential documents from the… National… “Archives on more than one occasion,”destroying those documents,” Hillary Clinton and “US consulate attack in Benghazi Libya,”September,11..four killed, including our American ambassador.”
Eric Holder, D.O.J., refusing to prosecute a New Black panther member for threatening voters at a voting station.“Fannie Mae And Freddie MAC: Scandal in U.S. Housing.” and the list goes on and the democrat party saw that nothing much,if anything, happened to these fellow democrats involved in these scandals.
Isn’t there a lesson to be learned by the republican party from the way that the democrats stood behind their own members when under attack, shouldn’t the republican party now get behind Chris Christie and see that the democrats aren’t allowed to take down one of their members, even though he is a (Rino republican.)
