Spevak Percussive Arts Center Hosts Free Jazz Show

Oswego and surrounding communities are invited to a free evening of live jazz on Sunday, October 4th. The Vern Spevak Big Band will take the stage at their home studio at 49 Stonehill Road in Oswego. Led by Chicagoland mega drummer Vern Spevak, the group is comprised of top professional musicians in the field of contemporary jazz music. Many of the 18 band members have performed internationally with some of the greatest music icons in the world. The band comes together to celebrate their love of the art of large ensemble jazz music. The music arrangements are challenging and showcase the extraordinary talent of its members with high energy, exciting sets.

The evening kicks off at 6 PM with special guest The Yorkville Big Band directed by Rick Falato. The show is open to the public and free to attend. You won’t want to miss it! Doors open at 5:15 PM.
