Spirit Cheerleading competed this past weekend at NIU in DeKalb at the American Cheer Power Cheer Competition. All teams worked very hard and competed against some very tough teams. This was Spirit’s first competition of the 2015-2016 season and NIU hosted 124 teams from as far away as Ohio. Spirit’s mini team Pride placed 4th, Sr. 4 Envy placed 3rd, Youth 2 Inspire and Jr. 1 Passion both took 2nd place and Sr. 2 Legacy placed 1st! Plus Spirit brought home a parent Spirit award, an athlete Sportsmanship award (which was the ONLY one awarded) and our Sr. 4 team Envy received an invitation to attend the coveted Summit competition in Florida this coming April.
